GHG inventory
A GHG inventory is the process of identifying every emissions source within an organization — fuel combustion, purchased electricity, process emissions, and more — and compiling them regularly using a consistent accounting methodology. What matters is not a one-time measurement but a repeatable annual data-collection and verification process.
Why it matters for Tier-2/3
A customer's CDP response, TCFD disclosure, or Scope 3 accounting ultimately depends on supplier inventory data. Building an internal inventory system ahead of time lets a Tier-2/3 supplier respond quickly to recurring annual requests, and it becomes evidence of genuine emissions-management capability in its own right.
